Powerful Dove Ad Campaign Shows Women Can Choose Beautiful
We have a new ad campaign from Dove, as the company did a social experiment around the world making women choose between being beautiful or being average. The stations were held in Sao Paulo, Delhi, Shanghai, San Francisco and London and signs were placed over doors saying “Beautiful” and “Average” and the women had to walk through the door they felt they represented.
A statement from Dove said: “Women make thousands of choices each day — related to their careers, their families, and, let’s not forget, themselves. Feeling beautiful is one of those choices that women should feel empowered to make for themselves, every day.“
This video is so touching, as it really puts a spotlight on how women perceive themselves. We can look at these women and see beautiful human beings, but they see themselves as average. This was a chance for the women to reevaluate their self-image and it is a beautiful thing!
